PROGRAMS

Toddler Tumble Dance:  Ages 2 1/2 - 4 1/2.  This class is designed for the energetic toddler!! Creative movement, motor skill development, introductory tumbling skills and dance moves are all included.  This is definitely a great beginning to introduce your child to music and movement before tackling a classic Ballet and Tap class.  Class is one hour per week.  Dance clothing is required to feel like the "big girls".  Ballet slippers are required.

Kinderdance: Ages 3-5. An introduction to Tap, Ballet and Creative Movement.  Designed specifically for this age group, we use bubbles, balloons and other fun props to add to the enjoyment of this class.  A specific curriculum is used to ensure that the young dancer is learning proper technique while having tons of fun!  Handouts and coloring sheets showing the new steps learned are included. Creativity and the dancer's own imagination is cultivated and encouraged.  The class is one hour per week.  Leotards and tights are required, as well as tap and ballet shoes. Parents do not stay in class with children, but are allowed many opportunities to visit and watch.

Dance Level I: Ages 5 - 12.  Designed for students in their 1st - 3rd year of dance.  Combo tap and ballet with an option of adding jazz as they learn.  Classes are grouped according to age and ability.  Emphasis is put on not only learning techniques, but also enjoying the creativity and expression allowed in dance.  Generally one hour per week.  Ballet and tap attire required, hair pulled back...

Dance Level II: Designed to increase technique level for students in their 3rd to 5th year of dance.  Classes challenge each dancer to achieve their individual goals and increase their creativity.  Dancers continue to advance as they enjoy the beauty of their talent.  Classes are 1 to 1/2 hours per week.  Ballet and tap attire and hair pulled back. Increased technique level for students in their 3rd-5th year of dance.

Intermediate Level: In this level, dancers are grouped according to age and ability.  Usually in their 3rd -4th year.  This class is designed for those in the Pre-Pointe level.  Pointe shoes may be used at the barre and occasionally in center to begin training for pointe work and advanced ballet.  This class is selected at the Instructor's discretion.  1 1/2 hours per week with an additional technique class.  Ballet and tap attire required, hair must be UP.  Pointe shoes may be required.

Advanced/Pointe: Dancers are selected for this class by instructors according to age and ability for the safety and health of the dancer.  Dancers must attend class twice weekly.  Ballet attire required.  Hair must be up.

Advanced Tap:  Dancers are selected according to age and ability.  Dance attire is required.  Hair must be back.

Jr. and Sr. Jazz:  Ages 5 and over. Using both classical and urban styles, jazz is an upbeat, high energy dance form.  Ballet is strongly encocuraged before taking these classes.  Jazz may be combined with Lyrical or Hip Hop for a great combo.  Dress may be ballet with jazz shoes or jazz pants and dance tops.  Hair must be back.

Krunk Kidz:  This the THE class for all of our "Video Dancers".  The best part is that the music and moves are age appropriate!!  No racy lyrics or trashy moves!  Learn the hottest moves of the greatest modern choreographers of our generation.  1 hour per week.  Dress so you can MOVE!!  Tennis shoes or jazz sneakers preferred.

Baton Twirling: Our classes include all baton twirling basic skills, marching, basic performance dance skill, rythm and great hand/eye coordination.  Levels of instruction range from beginner to advanced competitive level.  This under rated art form has been accepted by the Amateur Athletetic Union (AAU) and is now included in the Jr. Olympics as an official sport.  Our baton twirlers have received up to and including gold medals at these Jr. Olympics.  Classes begin at 1 hour per week and increase in legnth as is required for desired level and competitive teams.  Private lessons are available.  Dress for class is shorts, leggings or jazz pants, sleeveless tops and twirl or jazz shoes.  Tennis shoes are accepted for beginners.  No skirts or jeans are allowed.

Voice and Piano:  Through this department, group classes and private lessons are available.  Classical voice and performance voice are offered.  Musical Theatre is available in our "MusicalStarz" performing group. This is a high energy group that WILL get performance opportunities throughout the year.  This is not a department that just puts in a CD and pushes play.  Technique and proper warm ups are always used.  Please contact the studio to discuss your custom needs.

Performing/Competitive Teams: We have auditions annually for our prestigeous and nationally ranked teams.  Information may be obtained in our office.
